Products Description

Alloy Load Resistor is a precision high-power load device manufactured using high-performance alloy materials such as Ni-Cr, Manganin, and Fe-Cr-Al as core substrates. It is specially designed for high-power, high-stability, wide-temperature-range electrical load and energy dissipation applications.
Featuring advanced alloy rolling, precision winding, or electron-beam welding technology, combined with an optimized heat dissipation structure, the resistor operates stably across a wide temperature range of -55 °C to +155 °C, delivering both high power density and excellent thermal shock resistance.

Product Advantages

Excellent Material & Stable Performance

With a customized alloy formula, the temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) is as low as ±5 ppm/°C ~ ±50 ppm/°C, ensuring minimal resistance drift across the full temperature range. Long-term drift is controlled within ±0.2%.

High Power Capacity & Strong Impulse Resistance

The metal alloy structure offers exceptional instantaneous overload capability, capable of withstanding pulse impacts several times the rated power. It is ideal for high-frequency load-varying applications such as motor starting, capacitor discharging, and braking systems.

Efficient Heat Dissipation & Longer Service Life

Optimized heat dissipation design, paired with high-temperature-resistant alloy substrates, results in low operating temperature rise, effectively delaying aging, greatly extending service life, and reducing system maintenance costs.

Wide Compatibility & Flexible Selection

Available in multiple packages, resistance values, and power ratings. Custom resistance, power, and package dimensions are supported to precisely match customer circuit requirements, serving industries including industrial, automotive, electronics, medical, and more.

FAQ

Q:What is the difference between Alloy Load Resistor and ordinary resistors?

A:Alloy Load Resistor uses a metal alloy substrate with lower TCR, higher power capacity, better impulse resistance, and far superior long-term stability compared to conventional resistors. Carbon film/metal film resistors feature low power and high temperature drift, making them unsuitable for high-power, high-stability load applications.

Q:Does the Alloy Load Resistor support customization?

A:Yes, customization is available for resistance, power, package size, lead style, and other parameters. The standard lead time for custom orders is 7–15 working days, which can be shortened for urgent orders. We also provide free selection and design support.

Q:What is the service life of the Alloy Load Resistor?

A:Under normal operation within rated parameters, the service life exceeds 50,000 hours.

Installation Instructions

Install away from heat-sensitive components and high-frequency interference sources to ensure sufficient heat dissipation. Heat sinks are recommended for high-power models.

For bolt-type resistors, tighten mounting bolts evenly to avoid poor contact. For chip resistors, keep soldering temperature below 260 °C with a single soldering duration not exceeding 3 seconds.

Follow the recommended installation orientation to avoid blocking heat dissipation surfaces and ensure adequate airflow.
